The main objective of the Chair of Fundamentals of Ecological Planning and Building is the development of holistic ecological concepts and the detailed implementation of these concepts. Holistic ecological concepts include different fields of architecture.

 




Master distance learning "Architecture and environment"

The post-graduate distance learning for architects and planners: The Master course “Architecture and Environment" is a blended learning course targeting people integrated in working life. The course consists of traditional face-to-face sessions in combination with asynchronous self-paced learning. We provide the flexibility to study in your own time and from home or the office. Project Valley view university in Ghana

To become the first ecological university in Africa is the aim of the VVU. For that reason an ecological master plan for the whole campus was developed in cooperation of the VVU, their master plan committee and the German Bauhaus-University Weimar in 2002. The implementation of the master plan shall be a regional and supra-regional pilot project. With that concept, the VVU wants to set an example for other African countries. The concepts follows the idea of cycle management.

 




SPECIALIST Book "Ökologisches bauen"

In 2005, the book "Ökologisches Bauen – Von Grundlagen zu Gesamtkonzepten" was published. It provides a practise-oriented framework for ecological planning and building.
